A few months back I worked in collaboration with the amazing Chinese fashion/lifestyle magazine, Little Thing, to do an issue based on the theme, twins. The entire issue was dedicated to all things in two, from the fashion spreads, to the artwork, to the products featured. I just received a copy yesterday and even though I can’t read it, it really looks incredible (I mean, there’s even a popup feature.. eeeeep!).
So honored to work with such a great magazine.

Gallery 1988 has teamed up with Cartoon Network’s, Adult Swim and a bunch of awesome artists to kick off 2012 with one amazing show (see/buy work HERE)! I am psyched.
It was hard to choose, but I finally decided on The Venture Bros., depicting what I thought Brock Samson and Dr. Girlfriend might do in their time off.. Enjoy!

I am so psyched to be included in the Bill Murray tribute show, Please Post Bills, opening at Gallery 1988 on November 3rd. No surprise, I’m a huge fan of almost everything this man has done in his long & successful career, but I just couldn’t resist going for the obvious favorite, Ghostbusters. Like most kids of the 80′s, I’ve seen this movie probably 100 times, and can recite it on cue.
My piece is actually 2 individual paintings, a before and after of Dr. Peter Venkman getting slimed for the first time.

A few weeks ago a dear friend was married at a lovely wedding in Toronto. Since she has amazing taste, a sharp eye, and a house full of pretty things, I didn’t dare try to shop for her! Instead, I decided to do a tiny little painting of a sketch I once did that I thought represented love and starting a life together.
The only problem with this one was the double layer of resin I pored, which seemed to get splotchy in some areas.. I’m hoping that it evens out over time!

Well, it’s finally done! I’m so excited & honored to once again be participating in Gallery 1988′s Crazy 4 Cult show (and even more excited to be attending the opening this year!) In past years I’ve based pieces on Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Strange Brew, & Goonies, but this year I wanted to take on one of my favorite movies of all time, Muholland Dr. The 1st 10 minutes of this movie are beyond scary..
Crazy 4 Cult 5: I’m Getting Too Old for This Sh*t opens July 8th in LA.

So excited to be included in the iam8bit show in LA this year! Over 100 artists & illustrators will be included, all showcasing artwork of their favorite old school video games. I can’t reveal my whole set of paintings just yet, but I will say that I did 5 small pieces that all work together as one, entitled:
5 Reasons I Could Never Beat That Damn Game
Anyone guess the game?

Sorry the postings have been sort of slow the past few months, I’ve been doing a million different projects and my new painting series had to be put on hold until the end of the month. While I was working on my new site, I went through an old folder of images and came across this one.. I can’t believe I never got around to posting it!
I did The Travelers (aka: The Hair Curtains) a couple of years ago for a show in Miami, as the sister piece to One Plus Two Plus One.

So my ol’ website of 6 years (that’s like 120 in Internet years, right?) is finally getting a complete makeover! I’m expecting it to take me a little while, as I’m trying to edit out a lot of things, as well adding all sorts of new goodies, but I’m excited all the same.
While searching though my virtual junk drawer of old files, I came across a few pieces I painted, scanned and completely forgot about. All of them were done for various gallery shows and have since sold, but I don’t think I ever got around to posting them on my site. Some of them are pretty old (when I used to work with acrylic!), but I still thought a few of you may be interested in seeing them.
