Happy New Year! Oh boy, I’m so far behind on updates, but I wanted to jump ahead and post about a jewelry sample sale I’m having. Although many of the originals are still available through Gallery 1988, I have about 2-3 sample necklaces (ones used for photos/promotion) of each available for a discounted price through my Etsy shop. Please contact me if you have any questions!
They’re now available through Gallery 1988 (East)! Gold-plated, handcrafted by yours truly, each is available in small numbers. More info HERE
So, it’s been a crazy few months. What’s felt like a million projects and jobs all due one right after the other, lots of big decisions, mom duty, and attempting to completely redo my site has left me wondering how the hell it’s already October. Anyway, in between all that my husband and I have continued to expand on our fun little jewelry-making venture.
As everyone knows, Seinfeld is my all-time favorite show (proof here and here), so I was THRILLED when I got invited to participate in Galley 1988 (East)’s ‘Art Show About Nothing’. We decided to do a small, limited line of affordable pieces based on some of my favorite lines from the show, 5 quotes all together. They are all gold-plated, handcrafted, and boxed in hand-stamped box inspired by black & white cookies because,.. SEINFELD. They will be available in small quantities starting next Saturday through Gallery 1988.

It’s been a long while since I’ve done an update.. I’ve been posting all my recent work on Instagram + I started a Tumblr page, but sadly my blog remains neglected. I’m starting a redesign of my site, so the posts here may be few and far between in the meantime. But I absolutely couldn’t wait to post this next project.. Anyone who knows me knows that Clue is my favorite movie of all time. So when Gallery 1988 asked me if I wanted to participate in a show dedicated to it, I JUMPED at the chance!
My husband and I have been slowly collaborating on a few jewelry projects, so I thought I’d like to do another piece for this show. I really wanted to create something that I wanted to wear, and as we started the process, they couldn’t be finished quick enough for me. :) I decided I wanted to do my favorite quote (and there’s a million in that movie), ‘One plus two plus one plus one..’. So we created a piece that says just that.
Gold plated on an 18inch chain, and boxed in very special packaging (if you’re a die-hard fan like me, you’ll appreciate the black + purple boxes), they will be available at Gallery 1988 starting this Saturday for $60! I couldn’t be more excited.
UPDATE: Original brass 1/1 necklace and shadowbox now available HERE.
So excited to be included in my 7th (or is it 8th?) year at Gallery 1988′s Crazy 4 Cult! This year I wanted to try something a little different, so I enlisted the help of my husband, and together we recreated the maze from The Shining.. In wearable necklace form!
Made from Brass Alloy #260, it took 18.6 million revolutions on our CNC machine to cut out! We went through so many attempts to get the right one. It hangs in a black shadowbox, with a reversible back panel (so it can lay on flat black or the rug pattern from the Overlook Hotel) so it can be displayed as a piece of art as well. Really excited about this one. We’re thinking of doing a small run of these in the future, so if interested, please email me!
Crazy 4 Cult: Back in LA opens Friday December 12th, 7-10pm. Check it out, it’s going to be awesome this year!
So psyched to be a part of this show! And that I was able to squeeze in one last painting before taking a 2 month ‘new-baby’ break. After so many years of doing pop-culture related pieces, it can sometimes seem like there’s nothing original left to do, with so much overlap between galleries & shows. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE working on these shows, and am so grateful for every invite I get, but I decided this year to cut back on the amount of ones I participate in.
But when G1988 asked me about this one, it was a no-brainer. One of my favorite movies, and a big anniversary to boot. I decided to keep it simple, and base my piece off of one of the 1st scenes in the movie.. Dr. Peter Venkman’s ESP test.
This show will be traveling from NYC, to LA, Chicago, & then San Diego Comic-Con. First up is NYC opening this Saturday! Info on flyer below.

I was recently commissioned to paint an original Ketubah for a lovely couple’s upcoming wedding. Since they had in mind someone to do the hand-lettered text already, I just created a frame for it, which was a thin wood panel that was then hand painted. Such a fun, special project for me!

I’ve been doing a string of personalized, hand-painted Louis Vuitton bags for some clients lately, which have been such a fun change of pace! Below are a few of my favorites..
I can’t believe this will already be my 6th year participating in Gallery 1988′s Crazy 4 Cult show! Time flies. In the past I’ve tackled PeeWee’s Big Adventure, Mulholland Drive, Ferris Bueller, Goonies, Escape From NY, & Strange Brew.. But this year I decided to do a piece based on my absolute FAVORITE movie of all time: Clue. I’ve seen it literally a hundred times, can quote it from beginning to end and still find it as funny as ever. this one was fun.
Crazy 4 Cult 7: Back in NY opens this Friday, December 13th, from 7-10pm.

It’s been a long while since my last update, but things have been really busy around here with work & non-work related stuff. So happy to finally be back at it in the studio! I’ve been working on this piece for Gallery 1988 West’s upcoming Say Hi to the Bad Guy, presented by Crazy 4 Cult.
This time around artists will be focusing on their favorite villain from any cult film.. Even though I have many favorites, I decided to go with Frank Booth from Blue Velvet, because I believe him to be the creepiest, craziest bad guy of them all. A psychopathic drug dealer, pimp, and sadist, he is both a horrible and fascinating character, who easily has some of the most memorable scenes of all time.
Show opens Friday, October 18th at Gallery 1988 West in LA.
