Seinfeld in Gold: Necklaces About Nothing

So, it’s been a crazy few months. What’s felt like a million projects and jobs all due one right after the other, lots of big decisions, mom duty, and attempting to completely redo my site has left me wondering how the hell it’s already October.  Anyway, in between all that my husband and I have continued to expand on our fun little jewelry-making venture.

As everyone knows, Seinfeld is my all-time favorite show (proof here and here), so I was THRILLED when I got invited to participate in Galley 1988 (East)’s ‘Art Show About Nothing’.  We decided to do a small, limited line of affordable pieces based on some of my favorite lines from the show, 5 quotes all together.  They are all gold-plated, handcrafted, and boxed in hand-stamped box inspired by black & white cookies because,.. SEINFELD.  They will be available in small quantities starting next Saturday through Gallery 1988.

In celebration of my favorite season, (& in hopes that I will finally give my studio the cleaning it needs), I will be having a HUGE sale on all my original work, prints, & drawings starting this week.

I recently received some of my pop-culture pieces (theDays Off & terrarium pieces) back from Gallery 1988, and will be discounting them up to 50% off!  I will also be offing $15 off all prints, & $10 off all original drawings.  Buy any two pieces & get free shipping (w/in the US only).

Sale will start this Tuesday, October 15th through my Etsy store.  Please feel free to email me with any questions!

30 Days of Saul Goodman

UPDATE: T-Shirts now available!

What can I say about the Breaking Bad Art Project, except that I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to participate!  Not only is Breaking Bad one of my favorite TV shows currently on TV, but I have been such a fan of the amazing art/posters being created as part of the BreakingGifs campaign.

When I started sketching out ideas for my piece, I kept coming back to my favorite character on the show: the hilarious, slightly corrupt, sleazy but charming, strip-mall layer, Saul Goodman.  What cracks me up about him most is his loud, mismatched, colorful wardrobe.

So I decided to go through each & every episode that Saul was in and document exactly what he was wearing.  Yes, it took forever, but it was great excuse to rewatch 4+ seasons of great TV!  They’re all individual 5in x 5in painted wood panels, each sealed in resin.  Below, in order left to right, I give you 30 Days of Saul Goodman:

Hairy Curtains: Another Hidden Painting

Sorry the postings have been sort of slow the past few months, I’ve been doing a million different projects and my new painting series had to be put on hold until the end of the month.  While I was working on my new site, I went through an old folder of images and came across this one..  I can’t believe I never got around to posting it!

I did The Travelers (aka: The Hair Curtains) a couple of years ago for a show in Miami, as the sister piece to One Plus Two Plus One.
